Description caret-down

Thermal Imaging Binocular with Rangefinder Pulsar Merger LRF XP50

The Merger LRF thermal imaging binocular is designed with the classic look of a daytime binocular. This thermal binocular fits comfortably in the hand while still offering an attractive external aesthetic and exemplary ergonomics. The six buttons are conveniently placed, allowing the most frequently used functions of the digital device to be quickly activated with a single touch.

The optical design of the Merger LRF binocular fully considers the nature of human vision. Naturally, a person receives visual information through two eyes simultaneously. Viewing with both eyes is less tiring than using just one. This means better detection of small objects and improved performance in low-contrast scenarios compared to similar monocular thermal imaging devices with the same technical level. The interpupillary distance of the Merger LRF binocular is adjustable from 56 to 71 mm to suit the individual characteristics of each user.

Understanding target distance is essential for making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for quick and error-free assessment.

The characteristics of the thermal imaging optics decisively influence the ability of a thermal camera to capture even the lowest levels of radiation. Maximum detection efficiency is achieved with the Merger LRF thermal camera’s wide-aperture lens (F50/1.0) combined with the extremely sensitive thermal sensor. Merger LRF delivers users the best quality, most detailed, and high-contrast images, even in rain or fog when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal.

The Merger LRF thermal imaging binocular is equipped with advanced image processing algorithms that demonstrate effectiveness in various weather conditions and operating scenarios. With the Merger LRF eyepieces, the user receives a new level of clear images, enhanced object details, and improved contrast.

Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah and one replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees up to 10 hours of battery life. Engraving on the replaceable battery body to precisely determine the correct position enables quick and confident battery replacement with a new one in complete darkness.

A powerful long-distance objective combined with a highly sensitive 640x480 @17µm thermal image sensor delivers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8 m tall object can be detected up to 1800 m away in complete darkness.

The built-in WiFi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens a wide range of options, including device software updates, real-time streaming of images from the device to the smartphone screen, sharing captured photo and video content on social networks, remote control of the device, and access to the latest Pulsar news. In the Merger LRF thermal cameras, the standard smartphone WiFi connection frequency range of 2.4 GHz is complemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer rates, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation.

Merger LRF features a built-in video recorder. Its internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A single button press is enough to snap a photo of an interesting scene or start video recording. Recordings are copied to a computer hard drive via a USB-C port. The Merger LRF owner has 16 GB of free space for storing photos and videos in the Pulsar cloud. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app and connect the device to a smartphone via WiFi.

The IPX7 protection rating makes the device water-resistant against heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation. The unit is designed to function flawlessly even after immersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Digital zoom up to 8x offers enhanced focusing and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom adjusts either in 2x steps or continuously to provide a truly optimized field of view tailored to a specific situation.

The magnesium alloy housing is lightweight yet durable. The casing reliably protects the device's internal components from shocks, humidity, heat, or cold while efficiently dissipating heat from the electronics during long observations.

While the HD AMOLED display provides a clear, high-contrast field of view and vivid images, AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, smooth, high-resolution image while saving energy.

A range of 8 color palettes allows optimization of the unit for specific tasks. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the chances of recognition and identification. Monochrome Red, Sepia, and Violet are best suited for long night observations.
