The Zeck Rattle Teaser is probably one of the most innovative rigs for vertical catfish fishing, developed by the German manufacturer after numerous discussions and consultations with renowned catfish anglers, available in 4 weight options (60g, 100g, 150g, and 200g) and 3 color variants (green, white, and black), which have proven to be the most effective after countless tests.

The name "clonk" comes from the fact that we attract the catfish’s attention with the clonk sound, signaling that a potential appetizing bait is approaching. Essentially, the clonk’s impact awakens the fish’s interest in the bait in the water. Whether fishing on a lake or flowing water, this predator’s senses are extremely sharp, capable of detecting the vibrations of this bait even from great depths. Spectacularly, we can track the fish approaching on the sonar screen and even see when it attacks. The teaser concept was built around the simple worm bunch principle.

With gentle vertical movements, we can observe the jellyfish effect, extremely enticing for the largest predator in our waters. But Zeck went further and built a pivot-type ball-bearing head for these teasers (for increased attraction), to which silicone rubber skirts are attached, with small beads on the ends that inevitably knock against each other during vertical movement. Essentially, this creates a double effect: visual and auditory. Whether in flowing water current or on a lake, a slight animation of the teaser is important. Some anglers animate the rig simply by tapping the rod. If it’s windy, waves can substitute this action. The hooks used by Zeck are super sharp and can be trusted, especially as they are perfectly matched to the rig’s size.

Many enthusiasts choose to enhance the rig’s olfactory attraction by baiting the anchor hooks with worms or pieces of liver.
