Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. The Cooling Hoody Cloud features technologies developed for sun protection and is designed to provide cooling comfort during the hottest times of the year while offering excellent head coverage. This men's quick-dry shirt incorporates COR3™ fabric to fight odors and wick away moisture, keeping you dry throughout your fishing trip. It is rated UPF 50 for sun protection, with arms and shoulders built for comfort and natural movement.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is blocked. A fabric with a 50 rating allows only 1/50th of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes from Simms last for the lifetime of the garment.
