The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

For warm days during fishing trips, the Solar Flex Crewneck allows uninterrupted outdoor activities. The advanced cooling fabric is complemented by high stretch, ensuring great freedom of movement. The shirt has a UPF50 protection factor and a special design that protects against UV rays while maintaining comfort. The shirt feels pleasant to the touch while being lightly elastic.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 30 will allow only 1/30 of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes from Simms last the lifetime of the garment.
