The company Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on some of the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer, no matter the weather.

The Waypoints Jacket is part of Simms' portfolio, featuring a main fabric of Toray 50D with 2.5 layers that delivers an incredible waterproof-to-weight ratio and freedom of movement. Simms designed this piece with three pockets: a chest pocket that doubles as a stuff sack for the jacket, and two zippered hand-warmer pockets. Other notable features include adjustable velcro cuff straps, waterproof YKK zippers, and an adjustable hood.
