Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn't meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Waypoints Jacket is part of Simms’ lineup, featuring a main fabric of Toray 50D with 2.5 layers offering an incredible waterproof-to-weight ratio and freedom of movement. Simms designed this piece with three pockets: one on the chest where the jacket can be packed away, and two zipped hand-warmer pockets. Other notable features include adjustable Velcro cuffs, water-resistant YKK zippers, and an adjustable hood.
