Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Freestone Jacket features a 3-layer shell designed to combat low temperatures. The central zipper is an aquaguard waterproof zipper that closes up to the chin. The chest pockets are knit-lined to keep hands warm. The hood is adjustable in 3 points. The tailored waist includes two side zippered gussets for a comfortable and versatile fit.
