The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Thermal Pant is part of Simms’ product lineup. These pants, made from stretch polyester and elastane fabrics with a fleece inner layer, offer maximum mobility and the warmth needed during the cold season. The fleece lining traps heat close to the body without adding bulk or restricting movement. The tapered lower legs integrate easily with boots or waders, and the tapered hem provides simple adjustment when wearing extra layers underneath or overtop. Simms designed these pants with two side pockets and a double closure waistband with zipper.
