The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Superlight Shorts are part of Simms’ product lineup. Made from lightweight, packable, breathable nylon with rain protection, they offer stretch for enhanced comfort. The elastic waistband, zipper, and fabric belt loops are the shorts’ fastening elements. Simms designed these four-pocket shorts with two side pockets and two back pockets, one of which has a zipper.
