Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. Mother Nature has her ways of testing our limits. The Sflex Hoody features technologies developed for sun protection. This men’s quick-drying shirt uses COR3™ fabric to fight odors and wick away moisture, keeping you dry throughout your fishing session. It is rated UPF 50 for sun protection, and the arms and shoulders are designed for comfort and natural movement.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UV radiation from the sun is blocked. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50th of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes by Simms last the lifetime of the garment.
