The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. Mother Nature has her ways of testing our limits. The Sflex Crewneck shirt features technologies developed for sun protection. This men's shirt with quick-dry COR3™ fabric is designed to fight odors and wick away moisture, keeping you dry throughout your fishing trip. It has a UPF 50 rating for sun protection, and the arms and shoulders are built for comfort and natural movement.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a 50 rating allows only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes from Simms last the lifetime of the garment.
