Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn't meet the standards needed to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The ProDry Jacket is part of Simms' lineup and is made from GORE-TEX, which means waterproofing is its main strength. Simms designed this jacket with five pockets: two chest pockets with zippers, two hand-warming pockets with zippers, and one interior pocket. Other noteworthy features include waterproof YKK zippers, elastic Cohaesive™ cuff system, and a 3-point adjustable waterproof hood.
