Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer, regardless of the weather.

The ProDry Jacket is part of Simms' lineup and is made from GORE-TEX, ensuring that waterproofing is its main advantage. Simms designed this jacket with five pockets: two zippered chest pockets, two zippered hand-warmer pockets, and one interior pocket. Other notable features include water-resistant YKK zippers, elastic Cohaesive™ cuff system, and a 3-point adjustable waterproof hood.
