Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn't meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Body temperature on hot summer days can suffer, but the Prewett Stretch shirt keeps skin cool with powerful UPF 30 sun protection, moisture-wicking, and breathable fabric powered by a four-way stretch construction for comfort at every angle. We can store fishing accessories in the three upper pockets to stay out on the water for extended periods. This stylishly designed shirt can also be worn casually, not just for fishing conditions.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun’s UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 30 allows only 1/30 of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All Simms UPF finishes last for the garment’s lifetime.
