The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on some of the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Body temperature on hot summer days suffers, and the Prewett Stretch shirt keeps skin cool with strong UPF 30 sun protection, moisture-wicking and breathable fabric, powered by 4-way stretch construction for comfort at every angle. We can store fishing accessories in the three upper pockets, allowing us to stay on the water for extended periods. The sleek design shirt can be worn on the street as well, not just for fishing conditions.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun’s UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric rated 30 will allow only 1/30 of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will significantly reduce skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes by Simms last for the lifetime of the garment.
