The Simms Master Vest is designed for fly fishing and reimagines the Master Vest Japan Special, first introduced in 2013. Its construction focuses on gear organization and quick access to fly boxes, accessories and tools, while retaining a short cut suited to wearing with waders.

The back features a storage compartment accessible via zippers on both sides, as well as two box-style compartments for fly boxes and other accessories. A bridge between them helps stabilize the landing net while on the move. Two external floatant holders are positioned at the front for quick access while fishing.
