Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Lightweight Core Top is our first layer of defense for chilly mornings and cooler fishing days ahead. Odor-resistant, moisture-wicking fabrics combine for a soft, warm fit next to the skin. Raglan sleeves and flatlock seams enhance range of motion and comfort. And the extended hem design with elastic binding prevents the sleeves from riding up.
