So, he started creating products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Now it’s much easier to protect kids from solar radiation during fishing trips. The Kid's Solar Tech Hoody benefits from technologies developed for sun protection. This quick-drying kids’ hoody features COR3™ fabric designed to fight odors and wick away moisture, keeping them dry throughout the trip. It is rated UPF 30 for sun protection, and the sleeves and shoulders are built for comfort and natural movement.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UV radiation from the sun is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 30 allows only 1/30th of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes by Simms last the lifetime of the garment.
