The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Simms Guide Vest draws inspiration from the unspoiled beauty of the rivers. Its simple design includes 26 intuitive organizer pockets. The soft, fleece-lined knit collar and lightweight, breathable shoulders add comfort from dawn to dusk. Additionally, the manufacturer has incorporated two built-in retractors with magnetic docking stations.

The 26 pockets are arranged as follows: 2 elastic mesh chest pockets with zippers, 2 chest cargo pockets, 4 waist pockets, 4 large horizontal zippered waist pockets, 2 elastic mesh pockets for dry flies/floating gear, 4 inner pockets, 2 large horizontal inner pockets and 2 vertical zippered inner pockets, 1 horizontal water bottle pocket, 1 large horizontal back pocket, and 4 D-rings for attaching tools.
