Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Guide Short is part of Simms' portfolio. These shorts made with stretch fabrics offer maximum mobility and rugged durability on trails, in boats, and during wet summer days. Quick-drying, odor-resistant fabric and UPF 50 protection are key features of these shorts. An elastic waistband, button, zipper, and belt loops complete this piece, providing mobility and comfort. Simms designed these shorts with four pockets: one back pocket, one thigh pocket, and two side pockets.
