Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Waypoints Jacket is part of Simms’ lineup, with the main fabric GORE-TEX PACLITE® PLUS offering an incredible waterproofness-to-weight ratio and freedom of movement. Simms designed this item with three pockets—one on the chest and two zippered hand-warmer pockets. Other notable features include elastic cuffs, waterproof YKK zippers, and an adjustable hood.
