The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Fjord Pant is part of Simms' product portfolio. These pants, made with stretchy polyester and nylon fabrics and a double intermediate fleece layer, offer maximum mobility and the warmth needed for the cold season. The fleece interior retains heat close to the body without adding bulk or restricting movement. The tapered lower leg integrates easily with boots or waders. Simms designed these pants with two side pockets and elastic bands at the bottom to help the pants stay in place and prevent them from riding up.

Fabrics:

• Body - 539 g/m2 92% polyester (76% recycled polyester), 8% spandex Polartec(R) Power Stretch(R) Heavyweight Solid Velour/Velour Recycled Odor Resist;
• Inside waistband and lower calf - 240g/m2 47% nylon, 36% polyester, 17% spandex, hard-face fleece with durable water-repellent finish;
• Outer part, pocket, and knee overlays - 175 g/m2 91% nylon, 9% spandex with anti-pilling and durable water-repellent finish.
