Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The ExStream Jacket is specifically designed to provide protection in short bursts of rain. The lining is made from Toray®, which offers a high degree of breathability and efficiently wicks sweat to the outside. The insulation panels feature Primaloft® Silver Thermoplume filling, which effectively retains body heat. The jacket includes two hand-warmer pockets, a reinforced chest pocket with a zipper, and elastic cuffs that provide thermal comfort around the hands. Unlike the ExStream Hooded Jacket version, this one is recommended for higher temperatures, while the Hooded Jacket handles lower temperatures as well.
