The Simms company was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time fell short of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Body temperature on scorching summer days can take a hit; the Double Haul shirt keeps skin cool with powerful UPF 30 sun protection, moisture-wicking, and breathable fabric, powered by a 4-way stretch construction for comfort at every angle. We can store fishing accessories in the three upper pockets to stay on the water longer. The elegantly designed shirt can be worn on the street, not just for fishing conditions.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun’s UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50 of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes from Simms last for the lifetime of the garment.
