Simms was founded in 1980 by John Simms, a visionary angler and long-time guide. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at that time didn’t meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The CX Flat Brim Head is made from cotton and breathable polyester mesh. It comes in one universal size and can be adjusted with the rear system. It also offers UPF 50 sun protection, with materials tested using a spectrophotometer to determine how much UV radiation they block (for example, a UPF 50 fabric reduces UV radiation exposure to covered skin areas by 98%).
