Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After decades of providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Treated with InsectShield®, the Bugstopper® Intruder® BiComp protects against insects while offering enhanced mobility and sufficient sun protection for all-day fishing. The shirt features a stretch woven polyester fabric combined with polyester knit side panels for maximum mobility and stain resistance. It is equipped with two chest pockets, elastic cuffs, a ventilation opening on the back, and a button-front closure.

Insect Shield is a technology that provides long-lasting, effective, and convenient insect protection (some insects may carry diseases such as West Nile virus or Lyme disease). Clothing treated with Insect Shield acts as a shield that repels mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, and gnats. The active ingredient in Insect Shield is so tightly bound to the fabric fibers that it maintains permanent effectiveness on the garment.
