Shimano Twin Power XD FB Reel

The Twin Power XD is a redesigned model and is the most powerful reel in the Magnumlite series. Built for saltwater fishing, it is equally effective for targeting large freshwater predators thanks to its sensitivity and ultra-fast gearing. The new ultra-light MGL rotor with quick response delivers precise lure control, while Hagane Gear technology provides amazing strength and durability and contributes to smooth, precise operation of the internal gears. Micromodule II technology ensures an extremely smooth and sensitive rotation, minimizing noise during use. Silent Drive reduces even the smallest play, and oscillations of internal parts have been eliminated to the highest tolerance levels.

Combining these technologies with the X-Protect system, which provides high resistance to saltwater for the internal gears, plus the new Long Stroke Spool design, results in a powerful, lightweight and durable reel for the toughest saltwater conditions. The ARC Spool also allows the line to peel off in smaller loops while delivering longer, more accurate casts, with minimal friction between the line and spool.

The X-SHIP system offers improved pinion durability while eliminating rotor twisting and flex. By supporting the pinion on both ends with bearings, the pinion maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. An additional benefit is the elimination of friction between the spool and gear, which further enhances casting performance with lighter lures or weights. G Free Body is an innovative technology that repositions the center of gravity closer to the rod, reducing hand fatigue during fishing.

It features a Ci4+ body, an advanced version of Shimano's original patented CI4. This ultra-strong carbon material maintains 2.5 times the stiffness of CI4. While improving weight and rigidity, the body remains compact in size. S-ARB bearings have shields on both sides to reduce the chance of sand or saltwater restricting their rotation. DuraCross Drag provides a wider range of drag settings combined with Shimano's smoothest drag performance.
