The Shimano TLD 25 is a robust multiplier reel designed for saltwater fishing, trolling and offshore fishing. It is suitable for use with monofilament or braided line. The graphite composite body is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, while the aluminium spool and stainless-steel gears are built for heavy use in saltwater. The TLD25 has a Right Hand configuration and a 3.6:1 gear ratio.

The reel features a Lever Drag system, while its 4 A-RB bearings provide enhanced corrosion resistance and smooth operation. It delivers up to 10kg of drag, retrieves 81cm of line per handle turn and weighs 695g. The Power Handle with a torpedo-style knob provides a secure grip and control during the fight.
