The Shimano Talica 12 is a compact, single-speed multiplier reel designed for offshore saltwater fishing, trolling and bait fishing for powerful species. Its aluminium body offers high rigidity and keeps the gears stable under load, while the compact design accommodates heavy line without making the reel excessively bulky. The TAC12 features a Right Hand configuration and a 5.7:1 gear ratio.

The Lever Drag system uses Cross Carbon drag washers to deliver a maximum drag force of 18kg. The reel is fitted with S A-RB bearings for enhanced corrosion resistance and smooth operation in saltwater. It retrieves 104cm of line per handle turn, and at 655g, it is a compact reel with plenty of power in reserve.
