The Shimano Sustain is a reel from the Magnumlite range featuring a smoothly running rotor that offers precise lure control, combined with the strength and protection of the Hagane aluminum body. Sustain is suitable for fishing with light to medium lures, even larger-sized lures, mainly in freshwater, while also being appropriate for saltwater shore fishing. It boasts a special design (black body with chrome finishes), but the true beauty of this reel lies in how it feels and performs.

It is remarkably lightweight in hand, requiring minimal pressure to turn the rotor. Sustain is equipped with all Shimano’s top technologies, including Micro Module Gear II, Silent Drive, and Long Stroke Spool for high casting performance. The Hagane Gear technology provides incredible strength and durability, contributing to the smooth and precise operation of the internal gears. MicroModule II technology ensures extremely sensitive and smooth rotation, minimizing noise during use. Silent Drive eliminates even the slightest play, and oscillations of internal parts have been minimized to the highest tolerance level.

Additionally, the ARC Spool ensures the fishing line releases in smaller loops, while providing longer and more accurate casts with minimal friction between line and spool. It features a Ci4+ body, an advanced version of Shimano’s patented original CI4 material. This highly durable carbon material offers 2.5 times more rigidity than CI4. While improving weight and rigidity, the body remains compact.
