The use of CI4+ material has made the new Surf Leader model very light yet compact, making it the ideal reel for long-distance casting when we need to impart more speed to the entire setup. To further enhance casting performance, Shimano uses the new Super Slow Oscillation 50 technology, the AR-C spool, and the well-known Aero Wrap II system.

The cold-forged aluminum handle and the 5 stainless steel A-RB bearings, plus the quick "High Speed Drag" brake that allows rapid adjustment with just a half turn of the knob, perfectly complete the new Surf Leader Ci4+ reel. The reel also features Shimano’s latest innovations: the X-Protect system guarantees protection of internal parts from water and dirt penetration, plus the G Free Body helps anglers achieve precise, long-distance casts with less effort.
