Shimano Stradic HG FM Reel

The reputation for reliability and versatility stands out in the new Shimano Stradic HG FM reel, the latest addition to Shimano’s CoreSolid spinning reel range. The HG reels are characterised by a higher gear ratio compared to the standard range.

Incorporating technologies passed down from Shimano’s top ranges, the redesigned Stradic HG FM adds InfinityXross for unmatched gear durability and synergy by extending the gear tooth horizontally to help distribute loads more evenly. This uses Shimano’s Hagane forged cold gear technology for extra strength combined with the refinement of MicroModule II for a supreme winding experience.

The addition of InfinityDrive delivers smooth rotation and increased starting power under load, while the new Duracross Drag system provides smooth performance from the drag felt washers with up to 10x greater durability. Shimano’s water-repellent X-Protect coating and specially designed labyrinth water channel construction ensure long life and high performance by preventing water ingress in key areas without adding a heavy rotational feel. The new Anti-Twist Fin — an elastic polymer on the underside of the spool — improves line lay for anglers using monofilament or fluorocarbon.
