Featuring a Hagane body, the Stella SW boasts a very rigid metal construction for enhanced strength. Inside the reel, the latest Hagane gears are cold forged for long-lasting performance.

Infinity Drive technology offers an even smoother reeling experience, optimizing torque by up to 30%. SilentDrive further enhances smooth operation by eliminating play in the drive system and gears. The Stella SW incorporates Shimano's new Heatsink Drag braking system that keeps heat away from the spool, reducing its temperature by up to 100 degrees. X-Protect and X-Shield ensure that the entire assembly is protected against the harsh elements of a saltwater environment, allowing anglers to continue fishing with confidence. The new Stella SW is lighter, stronger, and more reliable.

The most notable feature of the Propulsion Line Management System technology is the new spool design. Thanks to extensive casting tests and computer simulations, Shimano experts have confirmed that this new spool design delivers longer casting distances compared to standard spool designs while preventing unwanted loops or tangles.

InfinityDrive is a new, more advanced main shaft support structure that improves torque and enables smooth and easy operation. The main shaft, previously supported by the pinion, is now supported by a new bushing, significantly reducing friction. Additionally, the main shaft has undergone special surface treatment and machining, creating a reel capable of flawless operation even under heavy loads. This technology allows anglers to enjoy fast line retrieval similar to an HG reel while maintaining the power and torque of a PG reel.
