The Stella SW has always been known in the fishing world for durability, power and reliability. The new Stella SW builds on that tradition and delivers unmatched power, reliability and ease of use. Featuring a Hagane body, the Stella SW boasts an extremely rigid metal construction for improved strength. Inside the reel, next-generation Hagane gears are cold-forged for long-lasting performance.

Infinity Drive technology provides an even more enjoyable winding experience, optimizing torque by up to 30%. SilentDrive further enhances smoothness by eliminating play in the drivetrain and gears. The Stella SW incorporates a new Shimano Heatsink Drag system that keeps heat away from the spool, reducing its temperature by up to 100 degrees. X-Protect and X-Shield ensure the entire assembly is protected against the harsh elements of a saltwater environment, allowing the angler to continue fishing with confidence. The new Stella SW is lighter, stronger and more reliable.

The most noticeable feature of the Propulsion Line Management System is the new spool design. Through extensive casting tests and computer simulations, Shimano engineers determined that this new spool shape delivers longer casting distances than standard spool designs while preventing unwanted loops or line slap.

InfinityDrive is a more advanced main shaft support structure that improves torque and allows smooth, effortless operation. The main shaft, which was previously supported by the pinion, is now supported by a new bushing that significantly reduces friction. In addition, the main shaft has received special surface treatment and machining, creating a reel that can perform perfectly even under heavy loads. This technology gives anglers the fast line retrieval of an HG reel while providing the power and torque similar to a PG reel.
