The ultra-slow "Super Slow Oscillation" ensures optimal line lay on the spool and significantly improves long-distance casts. The Parallel Body concept in the reel's construction aligns the spool and shaft parallel to the rod blank, reducing line friction against the blank. By reducing line friction, casting distance is maximized. Like other high-end models, the Speedmaster features Hagane components resulting from cold forging processes, eliminating the need for additional machining.
