The new Shimano Nexave FI reel is equipped with a finely adjustable front drag, suitable for spinning as well as match or picker style fishing. The robust XT7 composite alloy body is corrosion-resistant and effectively protects the internal gears from dirt intrusion. The 4 (3BB+1RB) stainless steel sealed bearings combined with the gear system ensure smooth operation during use.

The aluminum spool with AR-C Spool design (V-shaped lip) ensures the line is laid in smaller loops for more accurate long-distance casting. The revolutionary VarieSpeed system consists of two oscillating mechanisms (the first is oval, and the second has a remarkable square shape) that mesh perfectly, resulting in parallel winding of the line on the spool, enhancing casting precision.

Shimano’s "G-Free Body" technology was developed to shift the reel’s center of gravity closer to the rod blank. By bringing the center of gravity closer to the angler’s hand position, the G-Free Body helps reduce fatigue and increases casting comfort.

The evolved and improved Super Stopper II anti-reverse allows rotation in one direction only, while the Power Roller significantly reduces the risk of line twists, especially during retrieval, whether using mono or braid. The sturdy CNC machined aluminum handle ends with a soft-touch EVA knob that fits perfectly in the angler’s palm.
