The new Ultegra model is designed for anglers seeking a reliable reel for both freshwater (perch, pike, zander) and saltwater fishing. It features the latest functions and state-of-the-art technologies previously found only in much more expensive reels. These features ensure gear strength, durability, and performance.

The combination of Shimano's most innovative technologies such as HAGANE Gear, MicroModule II, X-Ship, and Silent Drive provides unmatched performance, even under difficult conditions, with remarkable sensitivity that significantly enhances the fishing experience. The newly launched model is equipped with a metal rotor that integrates the Coresolid philosophy (quality and strength). This aspect has been designed over many years to suppress distortion and twisting under light loads on the spool body.

The X-Protect technology ensures high resistance against water ingress into the internal gears without sacrificing the smooth rotation of the rotor and ease of handle rotation. To improve casting performance, the new Long Stroke Spool design has been incorporated into the new Ultegra FC series. Additionally, it features a Ci4+ body, an advanced version of Shimano's original CI4 material. This extremely strong carbon material maintains 2.5 times more rigidity than CI4. While enhancing weight and rigidity, the body remains reduced in size. Silent Drive minimizes the smallest clearances, and the oscillations of internal parts have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.

The Hagane Gear technology provides astonishing strength and durability, contributing to the smooth and precise operation of the internal gears. No cutting operations are applied to the gear teeth. Instead, the entire surface is calculated in minute detail through a special 3D design and then formed using Shimano's patented cold-forging technology. MicroModule II technology ensures extremely sensitive and smooth rotation, minimizing noise during use. G Free Body is an innovative technology that allows the repositioning of the center of gravity closer to the spool, reducing hand fatigue during fishing.
