The Shimano Curado K MGL 71 XG is a compact and durable baitcasting reel, built around a Ci4+ aluminum frame. The MGL (Magnumlite) technology on the reel spool eliminates vibrations during casts and provides exceptional control through the SVS Infinity braking system. The Shimano Curado ball bearings have a sealed surface offering extra protection against sand, salt, or dirt intrusion.

The braking control called SVS Infinity allows fine adjustment using the adjustment wheel located at the bottom of the frame, which is especially useful when fishing with light lures. As a result, Shimano offers a wider range of brake settings than other baitcasting brakes. The Super Stopper system reliably prevents back play, so you always have full control during the fight with the fish.

The variable braking system prevents backlash during casting. This term refers to the spool overruns and line tangles on the spool. Backlash is prevented thanks to the centrifugal forces you can personally apply. To do this, simply slide the flap on the bottom side of the frame plate forward and move the VBS pins as needed. The more pins you engage (remove), the stronger the braking force.
