The Shimano Curado DC 201 XG introduces an innovative upgrade to baitcast reels by integrating the Digital Control System (DC). This smart system, controlled by a computerized chip, charges automatically with each cast, requiring no batteries or external power sources. The energy accumulated during the cast powers the digital brake, ensuring a smooth, precise cast and significantly reducing the risk of backlash.

Regardless of conditions—whether strong wind or using light lures—the DC System optimizes performance, making casting easier even for anglers less experienced with baitcast reels.

The Curado DC is equipped with a Cross Carbon Drag brake, allowing fine adjustments and smooth action during the fight. S3D technology helps reduce spool vibrations, while the thin, balanced aluminum spool provides fluid casting and retrieval. A-RB bearings, protected against corrosion and impurities, offer enhanced reliability against external elements like sand, salt, or dirt.
