The Shimano Baitrunner D EU is a robust freespool reel designed for targeting large fish. It is suitable for carp, pike, catfish and other types of fishing that call for strength and generous line capacity. The XT-7 body and rotor offer good durability, while the cold-forged aluminium spool completes the solid construction. The Baitrunner system allows line to be released under controlled tension when the rod is resting on a rod pod, after which the main front drag can be quickly engaged to control the fish.

The reel features corrosion-resistant S A-RB bearings, a One-Piece Bail and an aluminium handle. The 4.8:1 gear ratio offers a good balance of power and speed, while the front drag has a maximum drag force of 9kg on both models. The Baitrunner D EU range is available in sizes 6000 and 8000, with different spool capacities to suit your fishing needs.
