Shimano Antares B represents the new generation of the top Antares series, a lineup with more than two decades of history in Shimano's portfolio. Built around a lightweight, rigid magnesium body, the reel integrates advanced drivetrain, drag and casting-control technologies, making it one of the most versatile baitcasting reels in the manufacturer's range.

Outstanding casting performance is supported by the Super Free Spool system, which reduces shaft friction during casts, and the Magnumlite Spool (MGL IV) in Ultra Duraluminium, featuring S3D design and Silent Tune technology to reduce vibrations. The SVS Infinity braking system allows fine adjustments to suit any lure, from ultra-light baits to crankbaits or swimbaits.

Antares B excels at finesse fishing, enabling accurate casts of light baits such as fine jigs, soft plastics, Ned rigs or in BFS techniques. At the same time, the robust gear train allows the use of bulkier lures without losing control. The Cross Carbon drag ensures smooth operation and precise control during the fight, providing confidence even in tough situations.

The Hagane body houses Micromodule gears and the X-SHIP system, contributing to exceptional smoothness and retrieval efficiency. S A-RB bearings, treated for corrosion resistance and protected against fine particles, ensure stable rotation and increased durability over time, even in harsh conditions.
