The Wilson rubber compound is enriched with 15% salt, which produces a highly attractive behavior during sinking and ensures a natural motion combined with increased resistance to tearing and repeated bites from sharp-toothed predatory fish. Additionally, fish hold the bait longer in their mouths due to the salt content.

A special formula of various amino acids in the Wilson rubber compound makes it even more appealing by altering the water's pH around the lure. What we humans cannot perceive drives fish crazy in certain situations. Garlic powder is incorporated into the Wilson rubber compound to provide a long-lasting flavour. Predatory fish respond very well to garlic, and this scent works wonderfully in combination with shrimp oil, which is the final component of this lure, naturally scented on the exterior with shrimp oil. Together with the garlic powder, it creates a smell that is irresistible to sluggish predators.
