The SG2 reel is an excellent example of how Savage Gear specialists designed and perfected these reels from scratch. The SG2 features cutting-edge characteristics and technology, a strong, robust, and lightweight composite graphite body and gears, and even the ultra-slow DLM (Dynamic Line Management) oscillation system that allows for even line distribution. Brake performance is guaranteed by the Felt Drag System (FSC-1) with oil-impregnated felt washers. Additionally, the spool equipped with a T-clip is of the Aero Lip type, helping achieve considerable casting distances by reducing friction of the line on its upper lip.

Even under intense use, the manufacturer ensures reliability through its 5+1 stainless steel ball bearings. The spool’s shape prevents line slippage, as the grooves on the spool provide excellent grip, making it impossible for the line to slip and cause problems during battles with trophy predators.
