The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predator anglers. It’s no surprise that this lure has broken many personal records for fishermen (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lures represented a new level of quality in the artificial bait world. Retrieving this lure is very easy, and any retrieval technique is effective, as the lure’s movement imitates that of an injured baitfish. The colder the water, the longer the pause between each movement should be (up to 3 seconds).

Recommended for pike, zander, perch, and catfish fishing. Typically, the Slider is fished with a series of sharp, aggressive rod jerks, while maintaining a fast retrieve. Before using this lure, it’s advisable to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action and improve your technique. The Slider is also effective for trolling, left behind the boat at distances of 10m to 30m, jerking it just like when casting every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended during the warm season when vegetation is abundant and the available water column is limited, while sinking models are better suited for areas with less vegetation or deeper waters.
