GALILEO™ AIR LED Lantern is a rechargeable lantern with a foldable design to save space, featuring 5 operating modes. Named after the famous Italian astrophysicist Galileo Galilei, it is manufactured by Nebo in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA. This lantern provides full 360° illumination when the dome is fully extended, with a maximum output of 1000 lumens from the white LED, making it excellent for covering a large area. Besides the white light settings, the lantern also has a red light mode, useful for preserving night vision, reading at night, wildlife observation, and helping keep mosquitoes away when camping, as they are less attracted to red light compared to white. There are also white and red strobe settings for drawing attention or emergency situations. It features a practical carrying handle that is hidden underneath and allows the lantern to be hung or carried easily.

An orange button is located on the front of the lantern’s base and controls all the functions of the Galileo Air 1000. A single press from "off" cycles through the "high," "mid," "low," "red," and "off" modes, or alternatively, to maintain night vision, you can access the red light directly by holding the button while the light is off; each subsequent press will then cycle through the previous modes if desired. The white light strobe is activated by a double press while in white light mode, and the red light strobe is activated by a double press while in red light mode.

Galileo Air 1000 is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, which charges via the included USB-C cable. To charge the internal battery, locate the charging port (on the side opposite the button) by lifting the protective cover and insert the USB-C end of the cable. Then, connect the USB end to a computer, power source, or wall outlet using a USB adapter. A small charging indicator next to the port will turn red while charging is in progress and will turn green once fully charged, after about 2 hours when using a 1A input. There is also a "power bank" function, useful for charging your devices when away from home. Simply plug your device's charging cable into the standard USB-A port (next to the USB-C port) on the lantern to start charging. A light on the lantern will turn green to indicate the battery is above 25% and will change to red when it falls below 25%.

NOTE: The lantern will be in demo mode at first use and will stay on for only about 10 seconds. Please connect the charging cable and fully charge the battery, then once disconnected it will exit demo mode for normal use. It is delivered in packaging that includes: 1 x NEBO Galileo Air 1000 Rechargeable LED Lantern, 1 x USB-C to USB-A charging cable,  1 x Manual.
