The EINSTEIN™ 400 LED Head Torch is a rechargeable headlamp with 5 lighting modes, named after the famous physicist Albert Einstein, produced by Nebo in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA. It is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, recharged via the micro USB port accessible by lifting the silicone protective cover on the bottom of the torch. The supplied cable connects to the micro USB port and then to a standard USB port or USB adapter. The LED indicator next to the power button lights up red while charging and turns blue once fully charged. Be sure to replace the silicone cover to protect the micro USB port from dust and water ingress.

It features a spot LED with three white outputs and a COB LED with one white and one red output. The left white spot LED emits a 400-lumen beam at the turbo setting, designed as a boost mode allowing a 35-second run time at a time to prevent the torch from overheating and protect the LED. The high setting provides a steady 250 lumens, and the low setting has 50 lumens. The COB LED on the right offers 100 lumens for floodlight and 15 lumens for red light. The red light is useful for night reading, wildlife observation, and preserving night vision, while the flashing red light is great for attracting attention, making it handy in cars or camping. A separate red LED is placed between the white LEDs and can be accessed directly to avoid disturbing essential night vision.

Operation is simple with two buttons on the top of the light that separately control the spot and flood LEDs. Each press of the left power button cycles the spot LED through high, low, and off. If the torch stays in any mode for more than 8 seconds, the next press will turn the light off instead. Turbo mode is activated by holding down the power button and lasts 35 seconds before reverting to the previous mode, or can be canceled sooner by pressing the button again. Spot and flood LEDs cannot be used simultaneously, but you can switch between them while the light is on by pressing the opposite button, for example, pressing the power button switches to spot mode when in flood mode.
