Rapala RipStop Lure, PD, 12cm, 14g

Rapala RipStop Lure, PD, 12cm, 14g

The Rapala RipStop is a jerkbait made from durable plastic and available in a wide range of natural and attractive colours. It is designed for targeting predatory species such as zander, perch, pike and asp, and is suitable for fishing both lakes and rivers. Its elongated body and hydrodynamic profile allow for accurate casting and a dynamic action, with quick sideways movements and sharp changes of direction that imitate a distressed baitfish.

The lure features a Dual Control system, consisting of a front lip and a rigid plastic tail extension that brings its forward movement to an almost instant stop when the retrieve is paused. During pauses, the lure makes a subtle side-to-side wobble, followed by a slow head rise, triggering predatory fish to strike. The body is made from two durable plastic components, with realistic details and carefully applied finishes. Three VMC Black Nickel Fine Wire treble hooks complete the lure, while its suspending action keeps it close to its running depth, with a slow upward drift during pauses. The PD (Purpledescent) colour pattern features a purple back and pearlescent flanks, creating contrasting reflections underwater.
