Preston Solid Window Feeder Basket, XL

Window Feeders are closed-end baskets with a “window” cut out on the side for easy loading. The window is about the size of a thumb, allowing for quick one-handed filling. Thanks to the weight positioned at the base of the basket, precision long-distance casts are no longer a problem. With the weight at the bottom, the feeder follows a straight trajectory, creating a very tight bait bed and consequently a higher density of fish around the hook. It offers maximum accuracy even when the wind blows from the side.

The body shape and side cutout allow loading with a large amount of particles (seeds, pellets) or live bait, without needing a large quantity of groundbait. Unlike classic feeders open at both ends, which require two bait “caps,” the particles inside the window feeder can be secured with a single bait cap that stays in place during the cast thanks to the shape and weight placed at the bottom. 

Thanks to the specially designed inner chamber with an angled base, and strategically positioned side holes, the feeder releases its contents only when it reaches the substrate, making it suitable for fishing in deep waters. They’re ideal when you want to practice selective fishing based mainly on particles, without loading the swim with groundbait that would attract smaller fish.
