The new generation of critically balanced baits has the great advantage of keeping the hook on the substrate, having neutral buoyancy, which has proven to be extremely effective compared to baits with high buoyancy. Although they resemble boilies or pop-ups, these baits have no relation to the composition of those mentioned. The material is flexible, slightly fluffy, and retains its flavour throughout its density - the main weapon to attract fish. This is also why they cannot be classified as boilies, pellets, or floating baits in general.

The flexibility of the material is also what dictates their use in combination with bait spikes (Bait Sting). At first glance, you will notice that these baits have a high moisture level, given by the flavour impregnated throughout the material. Compared to pellets, pop-ups, or boilies, they have a much longer lifespan precisely because of this advantage.
