The Penn Vantage XT LongCast is a big pit reel designed for long-distance casting, impressing with its raw power and lightweight feel. This surfcasting reel features a rigid and lightweight XRC carbon body and rotor, a durable CNC-machined gear made from high-quality metals, and a nearly waterproof drag system with HT-100 carbon drag washers that prevent any water, dirt, or sand from entering inside.

The highlight of this durable reel lies in its spool design. The Rocket Spool design has been specially engineered to help achieve accurate long-distance casts. This is partly due to the shape and design of the spool, as well as PENN®’s innovative X-Slow Leveline technology, which allows the reel to retrieve more than 50 line wraps per spool revolution. This ensures a flawless line lay that helps the line fly freely off the spool, cast after cast. No less than 9+1 sealed ball bearings contribute to smooth performance during the fight. Meanwhile, two included line reducers can be attached to the spool, meaning you’ll never use more line than you need.
