To achieve these results, various state-of-the-art software and CNC machines were used to cut the drive gears and pinions of this reel directly from metal. Compared to reels with molded gears, the PENN Tidal is not only stronger and more precise, but also much more reliable than other reels on the market.

The reel body is made from XRC carbon, and the HT-100 carbon washers ensure that no dust or water droplets will enter inside the reel. The Slow Leveline system combined with the longcast spool offers the angler the possibility to reach remarkable distances, making this reel a suitable choice for both saltwater and freshwater fishing where long-distance casting is required.
